Aside from nourishing yourself there are some added benefits of going on a plant based eating plan. Think about it. This plan is all about adding in super nutritious foods that are rich in polyphenols and anti-oxidants.
Plant based foods are rich in vitamins and minerals which give your body the enzymes and nutrients it needs to function. There is a reason why Health Canada has updated their guidelines to encourage following a plant based eating plan and increase the intake of plant based proteins. The research is out and here are some of the benefits.
Reduction in inflammation
Reduction in pain syndromes
Reducing your risk of chronic disease
Maintaining healthy blood sugars and lowering your risk of diabetes
Healthy aging (we all have to age so why not do it gracefully)
Promoting healthy cholesterol levels and lowering your risk of cardiovascular disease
Improving your energy
The thing is that most of us know we should be eating better but we get lost in all the information that is out there and what the latest fad is.
Not only does plant based eating make sense but it is supported by science. Of all the diets that are out there, there is one thing they all agree on and that is we should be increasing our intake of vegetables and plant based foods. Makes sense doesn't it.
The biggest obstacle is often knowing how to incorporate plant based foods in a way that is simple, easy and delicious. In the Mind Your Peas & Quinoa program not only do we tell you why...we give you the how!
We look forward to meeting you on the inside :)
